In April 2020, I participated in MIT's Beat the Pandemic 1 event. My team was one of the winners of our track with our healthcare concept ClearCare. Since then, we have continued to develop our concept and begin the development phase. So far, I have completed costs analysis; developed simple and detailed UI design prototypes in Adalo and Figma; conducted user experience research; created user pathways; defined user classifications; and built stakeholder maps.
For the costs analysis, I went through our proposed tech stack and researched usage costs for each tool. I then developed various usage scenarios to estimate how much we would incur in costs each month if our service was used under those conditions.
To give a basic idea of how we wanted to structure our tool, I created a quick prototype in Adalo. The simple Adalo prototype provided information that helped refine what we wanted and needed within the tool.
After we finalized the basic structure and flow of the tool, I created a more refined UI/UX design in Figma. The design accounted for our color scheme and additional branding features. I made the prototype interactive so that I could get feedback from various individuals about the design and user experience.
I was able to conduct Zoom sessions with various individuals. During the session, they provided feedback and input as they clicked through the app and went through the different flows. Afterward, I was able to categorize key insights and statements regarding aspects of the service.
Subsequently, we decided to focus on the patient journey and doctor referral pipeline to see other potential opportunities. I developed an in-depth referral brainstorm from multiple patient flows and experiences. The brainstorm helped pinpoint additional targets within the healthcare ecosystem.
I also drafted detailed user flows that were based on "personas" which I compiled from multiple stories. I went through each step of the journey and documented different aspects of their experience as they went through the system. I was able to discover additional pain points and insights that could enhance our concept.
I built a few different stakeholder maps to understand who needs to be integrated into our process. Once I completed the necessary analysis, I was able to identify a key stakeholder that influenced the success of our service.
As we work on building rapport with stakeholders, I am working on the development team to build a current version of the tool using Angular and AWS.
